First record of soft-winged flower beetles (Coleoptera, Malachiidae) in a late Pleistocene deposit from West Siberia with a review of known Quaternary data

Soft-winged flower beetles (Coleoptera, Malachiidae), Apalochrus femoralis pallipes Motschulsky, 1860 and Ebaeus Erichson, 1840 species, are recorded for the first time from Quaternary fossils in deposit Ustyanka-1 near Ustyanka river, right tributary of Alei river Altaiskii Krai, West Siberia, Russia. The strata containing malachiid fragments belong to warm phase late glacial succession. It is shown that soft-winged typical Holocene deposits practically unknown cold phases Pleistocene, except case Protapalochrus Evers, 1987 which has been Pleistocene. Illustrations external appearance both male female beetles, sub-fossil remains three species rufipes -group distributed region given, together with details their position within deposit. Data on Malachiidae Northern Hemisphere briefly reviewed.
